3 DPS Bokaro Students Selected for EU Educational Project in Italy

Bokaro: Three students from DPS Bokaro—Malvin Pereira, Aryan Kumar, and Ananya Priya—have been selected for a special educational project under the European Union’s Erasmus Plus program. The trio will travel to Italy on June 12 for a 20-day immersive experience focused on vocational training, language skills, and cultural exchange.

The project, aimed at enhancing German language proficiency and fostering international collaboration, is a unique opportunity for the students to engage in hands-on learning while discovering European cultures. After a rigorous selection process, they emerged as the top candidates from Eastern India, marking a significant achievement for both the students and the school.

The announcement of their selection was met with a standing ovation at the school, and Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar expressed his pride, highlighting the school’s dedication to fostering global talent. He emphasized how such initiatives not only sharpen academic skills but also provide invaluable cultural experiences that shape students’ futures.

Malvin, Aryan, and Ananya applied through the European Union’s official website, testing their skills in German language, communication, and overall academic potential. Their applications underwent a thorough evaluation, which included an intense interview process. All three students have previously participated in German language training programs in Shillong and Goa, further preparing them for this international opportunity, school authority informed.

The European Union will cover all expenses, including travel, accommodation, and meals, for the selected students, he said.

The program begins with a briefing on June 13, followed by their participation in a special camp where they will serve as volunteers, receiving vocational training and collaborating with peers from across the globe. This hands-on experience will enhance their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Additionally, they will attend sessions designed to improve their German language proficiency and take part in cultural and literary exchanges.

During the breaks, the students will also have the chance to explore various cities in Italy, as well as Munich in Germany.

Notably, Erasmus Plus is an initiative by the European Union designed to support education, training, youth, and sports. The program encourages collaboration between EU member states and provides financial aid for students, workers, and professionals seeking opportunities abroad. It promotes international partnerships between educational institutions, vocational organizations, and youth and sports bodies.

This exceptional opportunity highlights the commitment of DPS Bokaro to providing students with a platform to excel on the global stage while broadening their horizons.
