Bokaro School Principals discuss on implementation of NEP

JNS: Aiming for the successful implementation of NEP, which will bring perfection in the holistic development of the students, directors, principals, and representatives from more than two dozen schools of the district, participated in a conference hosted by DPS Bokaro on Wednesday.

This conference was organized in the General Body Meeting of  Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex.

Many new strategies were addressed to maximise education’s impact and boost students’ interest in and motivation for learning. The goal of the National Education Policy is to create a learning environment that is more open to exploration, inquiry, integration, discovery, and a focus on the individual student.

The members proposed initiatives which included bagless days, skill development activities and primary education in the mother tongue, which will help in building character while at the same time preparing students for enjoyable and flexible learning.

The Treasurer and Principal, MGM Higher Secondary School, Father Reji C. Varghese, presented the annual budget. He said that to reinforce excellence in the fields of academics, culture and sports, the Sahodaya needs to allocate more funds in such activities.

The members congratulated Suraj Sharma, Principal Chinmaya Vidyalaya for the new responsibility as City Co-ordinator , CBSE (AISSCE and AISSE 2023) and P. Shailaja Jayakumar for becoming the Deputy City Co-ordinator.

Addressing the members, Dr. A. S. Gangwar, President of Sahodaya and Principal DPS Bokaro, applauded the attempts made by the Sahodaya to elevate the academic status of Bokaro and making it the educational hub of the state.

“With the implementation of NEP, the schools must build 21 century skills that will enable students to become Global Leaders,” he added.
