India beat New Zealand by 12 runs in first ODI

JNS: India defeated New Zealand by a score of 12 runs in the first of a three-match One Day International series that took place Friday night in Hyderabad.

In the process of attempting to reach the goal score of 350 runs, New Zealand was bowled out for a score of 337 after 49.2 overs. After making the earlier decision to bat first, India scored 349 runs while losing eight wickets.

The record for the youngest cricketer ever to make a double century in an ODI was set by Shubman Gill. He made 208 off 149 deliveries. After Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, and Ishan Kishan, the 23-year-old became the fifth Indian to make a double century for India in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). During the game, Gill also set a new record for the fastest Indian player to score 1000 runs in one-day international competition.
