JNS: An exotic cultural extravaganza was organized at Delhi Public School Bokaro Steel City to bid farewell to the batch of 2023 (Class XII), on 10 February 2023. The fervour and energy of the students were a feast to the eyes. The event commenced with the sapling presentation followed by cake cutting.
The festivities kicked off with the orchestral performance by Class XI, who left everybody tapping to the catchy beats. A self-composed poem by Yash Gaurav of Class XI poignantly portrayed the emotions of school life and the childhood spent in its loving portals.
The performance by the dancers of Class XI popped up the mood. The talent round followed the contests for the various titles. An enchanting dance performance by the students of the outgoing batch left the audience grooving. Harsh Raj & Sneha of class XII recited beautiful poetry encapsulating their feelings and time spent in the school.
In his address, Apurva Anand, Head Boy, thanked the juniors and the School for the treasure chest of memories he was carrying. He thanked his teachers and friends for making his school life special. Anushka Singh, Head Girl, stepped forward to thank the juniors wholeheartedly. She also expressed her gratitude to the teachers for all the painstaking efforts at shaping children into capable human beings, now ready to take on the world outside.
Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, announced the winners of the titles. Anushka Singh was awarded the title of Miss DPS, while Anshul Agarwal and Apurva Anand jointly received the title of Master DPS.
Aryan Singh was awarded the title of Master Style Icon and Vishnupriya was identified as Miss Style Icon. Harsh Raj was adjudged Master Popular, whereas Ayushi Shandilya was recognized as Miss Popular. The title of Miss Versatile was bagged by Sanjivini Kumari, while Hardik Shree was adjudged Master Versatile.
Addressing the students, Dr. Gangwar said, “different phases in life are inevitable and cannot be dismissed with ‘adieu’, it is for the welfare of the one who is loved and admired and for whom you expect prosperity and success.”
He added that the school has chiselled excellence in every individual and carved an impactful identity. Now it is the time to move forward, keeping in mind what you learnt and practising those to make the world proud of you and your alma mater.
