Dhanbad: Anandita Kishore Navy from Dhanbad has earned a spot in the Indian women’s cricket team for the ICC Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025, set to take place in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, 2025.
Anandita, who has been selected for the Under-15 category, will join the team under the captaincy of Nikki Prasad. The talented cricketer’s inclusion in the national squad is a proud moment for Dhanbad as she gears up to play on the international stage.
The Indian team for the tournament includes Captain Nikki Prasad, Vice-Captain Sanika Chalke, along with players such as G Trisha, Kamalini G (Wicketkeeper), Bhavika Ahire (Wicketkeeper), Ishwari Awasthe, Mithila Vinod, Joshita VJ, Sonam Yadav, Parunika Sisodia, Kesari Druthi, Ayushi Shukla, Anandita Kishore, MD Shabnam, and Vaishnavi S.
In honor of Anandita’s selection, the Dhanbad Cricket Association organized an award ceremony, attended by all the association officials. The officials expressed their pride, emphasizing that Anandita’s achievement marks a significant milestone in her career, as she will now represent not only her district but also the nation on international grounds.
