Bokaro: In a vibrant celebration of literature and culture, the Rashmipunj Sahityanuragi Sansthan hosted a grand literary conclave, Kavyotsav (Kavi Kumbh), on Monday at the Shri Ayyappa Public School auditorium in Sector 5, Bokaro, marking the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. The event drew writers, poets, and literature enthusiasts from across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
The day-long event, organized under the aegis of the national literary institution Rashmipunj Sahityanuragi Sansthan, featured a rich tapestry of activities including a book release ceremony, a felicitation event, and a multi-session kavi sammelan (poetry symposium).
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before an image of Maa Saraswati, led by P. Shailaja Jaikumar, Principal of Ayyappa Public School, along with Dr. Govind Gazab, National President of Rashmipunj, poetess and General Secretary Karuna Kalika, and program coordinator Arun Pathak.
Two books were unveiled on the occasion—Naval Kavya Rashmiyan, a joint poetry anthology, and Bharat Ke Mathe Ki Bindi by Jyotirmoyee De Rana. Speaking on the significance of such events, Dr. Gazab emphasized the role of literature in guiding society and praised poets for capturing the depth of human emotions. He lauded the organizers for providing a valuable platform for literary expression.
Several distinguished guests including Biranchi Narayan and school officials honored participating poets and contributors such as Dr. N.K. Roy, Geeta Kumari Gustak, Amrita Sharma, Brahmanand Goswami, Gangesh Kumar Pathak, and others for their contributions to literature.
The kavi sammelan unfolded across three sessions, each drawing applause from an enthusiastic audience. The sessions were presided over by Dr. Asha Pushp, Richa Priyadarshini, and Arun Pathak respectively, while stage proceedings were smoothly anchored by Dr. Govind Gazab and Karuna Kalika.
Poets including Archana Ashk Mishra, Richa Priyadarshini, Deepti Maye Nishank, Reena Yadav, Priyanka Srivastava Shubhra, and many others enthralled listeners with verses that ranged from patriotism and romance to humor and tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The event concluded with heartfelt thanks extended by organizers Karuna Kalika and Arun Pathak to the school management and all participants for their support and active engagement. Notable attendees included Prabhat Kumar, Dr. Rakesh Ranjan, Shambhu Jha, and a host of poetry lovers who contributed to the event’s lively spirit.
