Bokaro: ‘World Peace Day’ was observed by the students of DPS Bokaro who carried a march past in the school campus pleading for peace, waving colourful paper flags and balloons marking them as symbols of peace.
Students, teachers and staffs of the school convened a special assembly on this occasion which started the day with the song “Hindu Muslim Sikh Isai Ek Maa Ki Santaan Hai…” followed by a pledge pleading for peace on earth.
On this occasion, students shared their own views on peace and kindness trying to prove as why peace was mandatory for the survival of human being.
Later the students lined up for a Peace Rally with banners and posters prepared by them to share the message of ‘Peace and Prosperity’ and universal values of ethics and discipline for mankind
Director and Principal DPS Bokaro Dr. Hemlata S Mohan in her message said that Peace is the only solution for the welfare of human being and everyone should play an instrumental role in achieving this goal.
Addressing the students Vice Principal, P Shailaja Jay Kumar said that Peace Day is marked every year to sensitize the children telling them about the sufferings of war and its impact on humankind and how peace can be a stronger weapon than war.
