BJP sweeps Haryana local bodies elections by winning 9 of 10 mayoral posts

Haryana: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a landslide victory in Haryana’s local body elections, winning nine out of ten mayoral positions across Municipal Corporations, Councils, and Municipalities.

Notably, BJP candidate Praveen Joshi made history by defeating Congress candidate Lata Rani by a massive margin of over 3 lakh votes to become the Mayor of Faridabad.

The victory also included key wins in Gurugram and Rohtak.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini praised the results, stating that the people’s approval of the government’s work and policies will drive the “triple-engine government” to accelerate progress for a developed Haryana.
