JNS: A Bokaro Steel Plant’s (BSL) officer sustained multiple injuries and admitted to Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) after he was allegedly thrashed on local BJP MLA Viranchi Narayan on Thursday noon.
Ajit Kumar, Assistant General Manager (AGM) at BSL admitted at BGH; he sustained injuries in his right eye, head and in the other parts of the body too, hospital authority informed. His condition is said to be stable, he said.
Kumar alleged that, MLA Viranchi Narayan and his supporters thrashed him black and blue when he asked to stop an ongoing illegal land work at Sector 1 park. Without getting NOC from BSL management MLA was engaged in illegal land work, he alleged.
According to the eyewitness, Kumar rushed to spot and asked to stop the work as the land belongs to BLS and they have not taken NOC from the plant management. On the NOC issue, MLA first engaged in verbal clash with Kumar later it took ugly look and MLA along with his supporters started thrashing Kumar, said the eyewitness.
When Kumar tried to escape, MLA and his supporters ran behind him and again thrashed Kumar badly, said another eyewitness.
Denying the allegation, MLA Viranchi Narayan said I was defending Kumar.
BSL Officers Association leader AK Singh said, this is a heinous act, “We will give written complaint to the administration against MLA,” he added.
