Ranchi: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Shri Ranjay Sinha, General Manager of Dhori Area, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), and Shri Shakti Kumar, the District Disaster Management Officer and Nodal Officer for CSR, Bokaro, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. The agreement formalizes a significant financial commitment of Rs. 111 crore, which will be allocated under the Damage Remedy Plan (DRP) and the Natural and Community Resource Augmentation Plan (NCRAP).
The funds will be directed towards various community welfare schemes in Bokaro district, aimed at improving the living standards of local residents and fostering sustainable development. These initiatives are expected to bring lasting benefits to the community, reflecting CCL’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of its stakeholders and the broader public in its command area.
On the occasion, Shailesh Prasad, Project Officer at SDOC M, and Achyutananda Kumar, Nodal Officer (Forest and Environment), SDOC M, also attended the event from CCL’s side, underscoring the company’s dedication to corporate social responsibility.
This MoU is seen as a key milestone in the continued collaboration between CCL and the Bokaro district administration, paving the way for impactful welfare projects aimed at community upliftment and environmental sustainability.
