Ranchi: Renowned Indian mountaineer and world record holder Shri Satyarup Siddhant is gearing up for his North Pole expedition, set to begin in April 2025.
In a show of support, Nilendu Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), handed over the flag to Siddhant for this challenging journey and wished him success.
CCL Director (Personnel) Harsh Nath Mishra and Head of the CC&PR Department Alok Kumar were also present there.
Singh lauded Siddhant for his remarkable achievements and expressed confidence in his success during the expedition.
Siddhant, known for being the youngest person to scale the highest peaks and volcanoes across all seven continents, has made history with numerous accomplishments. He was the first to climb Mount Gupta and led the first Indian team to summit Mount Brahma, among other feats.
The North Pole expedition, which had been delayed for six years due to geopolitical factors, the pandemic, and climate challenges, will finally commence from Russia on April 8, 2025.
Siddhant, who previously completed a skiing expedition to the South Pole, now plans to ski to the farthest point of the North Pole, representing India and inspiring youth across the nation.
CCL, under the leadership of Nilendu Kumar Singh, continues to promote national pride and support various initiatives, including adventure sports, health, and women empowerment. The CCL family wishes Satyarup Siddhant the best of luck for this historic and exciting journey.
