Dhanbad: The annual tech fest of IIT-ISM, Concetto 2024, is set to kick off on October 18, offering a thrilling lineup of technical, entertainment, and knowledge-sharing events. The three-day fest, which will run until October 20, promises an exciting mix of guest talks, panel discussions, workshops, Robo Wars, and pronite events, showcasing the latest in technology and providing ample entertainment for attendees.
The event will feature a series of guest talks starting on October 18, with Dr. Shyam Mohan, Director of ISRO Group, delivering a research talk. This will be followed by an insightful session by eminent journalist Vishal Arora on “The Interplay of Media and Technology.” On October 19, tech enthusiasts can look forward to talks from Shikhar Goel, CTO of GFG, and Tribuwan Bisen, Founder of Quant Insider, who will discuss Quantitative Trading.
On October 20, a panel discussion on “How to Start a Startup” will feature Sadhika Tiwari (journalist) as moderator, with panelists Sairoj Dhond (Founder, Wakao Foods) and Dilkhush Kumar (Founder, Rodbez) sharing their entrepreneurial journeys. The day will also include a talk on Group Product Management by Kartik Kannan, Group Product Manager at AJILO, and insights on a career in civil services by Ravi Kumar (IRS, AIR 38, UPSC CSE 2021).
For entertainment, Concetto 2024 will host a series of pronite events. On October 18, Ragas Band will take the stage for a rock performance, followed by a comedy night with Aditya Kulshrestha (Kullu) and Vivek Samtani on October 19. The fest will close with an EDM Night featuring DJ Kashish Rathore and Muszik Mmafia on October 20.
In addition to these, the fest will feature over 40 technical and creative events. RoboISM will host its flagship Robo War event, where teams from across the country will compete by designing and controlling combat robots. On October 20, the Marg event organized by RoboISM will also take place.
The HACK the BLOCK hackathon, which began on October 10, will culminate in a 24-hour competition on October 19-20. Additionally, the Financial Tech Club will organize Trade-A-Thon and Algoverse events, focusing on algorithmic trading, blockchain, and other fintech innovations.
Concetto 2024 is set to be a celebration of technology, innovation, and creativity, offering students an opportunity to learn, compete, and network in an electrifying atmosphere.
