DAV Sector-6 Hosts Inter-House English Speech Competition

Bokaro: DAV Public School Sector-6 hosted an exhilarating Inter-House English Speech Competition, showcasing the eloquence and skill of its students on Saturday. Organized by the Curricular Co-curricular Activities department, the event was a testament to the academic and extracurricular excellence promoted by the school.

Students from Shraddhanand, Dayanand, Vivekanand, and Hansraj Houses participated in two categories. For students in classes 6 to 8, the theme focused on the significance of sports, while those in classes 9 to 10 expounded on the importance of studies.

Principal Anuradha Singh commended the participants for their articulate presentations and emphasized the competition’s role in enhancing language proficiency, pronunciation, speech delivery, and self-assurance among students.

“Participation in such events boosts self-confidence and provides a platform for students to express their ideas,” remarked Singh, underscoring the importance of such competitions in fostering holistic student development.

The competition, adjudicated by Ruby Kumari and Rajesh, saw outstanding performances across both categories.

In Group A (junior category), Pranaya Singh Solanki from Dayanand House clinched the first position, followed by Ankita Raj from Shraddhanand House in second place, and Ishan Kumar Jha from Dayanand House securing third place.

In Group B (senior category), Jaya B Pritam from Vivekanand House emerged victorious in first place, with Alok Anand from Hansraj House claiming second place, and Shashank Vaibhav from Dayanand House securing the third position.

The event was expertly hosted by Class 9 students Aradhya Adarsh ​​and Honey Ojha, who ensured smooth proceedings throughout.

The occasion was graced by the presence of distinguished faculty members including Abha Kumari, Mamta Kumari, Kiran Singh, Jyoti Bala, Manisha Sahay, Vibha Jha, Prashant Kumar, Swaroop Nath, Vidyasagar, B.K. Jha, and Gautam Singh, underscoring the collective support and encouragement from the school community.

The Inter-House English Speech Competition not only celebrated academic excellence but also highlighted the importance of effective communication and critical thinking among students, setting a benchmark for future endeavors in education and personal growth at DAV Public School Sector-6.
