Bokaro: The new academic session (2025-26) at DPS Bokaro began with a vibrant and inspiring special assembly held today at the Ashwaghosh Kala Kshetra. The first assembly of the session set the tone for the year, reflecting the renewed energy and enthusiasm of both students and staff.
The event featured a colorful cultural program that beautifully blended tradition with creativity. The assembly began with the soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana, invoking blessings for the upcoming session.
A highlight of the day was the fashion show by Class VI students, which left the audience spellbound. The show not only showcased the confidence of the young performers but also their creativity, as they portrayed India’s “Unity in Diversity” through costumes representing different states of the country. Another captivating segment was the display of ‘Navras’ — the nine emotional states from Indian art, which included emotions like Shringara, Hasya, Karuna, and Raudra, adding a layer of artistic expression to the event.
The assembly also featured a dance drama based on the epic ‘Mahabharat’, which brought the characters of the epic to life and explored the theme of ‘Dharma’. The performance deeply moved the audience and stirred emotions as it captured the essence of righteousness and virtue.
The Principal, Dr. A.S. Gangwar, also released the Annual Planner for the year 2025-26, themed ‘Nav Bharat Nirman’, which provided a vision for the upcoming academic year. The ceremony continued with the presentation of Proficiency Prizes to students who had excelled in academics during the previous session, serving as a motivation for others to strive for excellence.
In his address, Dr. Gangwar extended his warm wishes to both students and staff for a successful and enriching academic year. He emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, patience, and discipline in achieving success. “School is not only about academics; it is a place where children learn moral values, integrity, and resilience, which contribute to their overall development,” he said, urging everyone to embrace the new session with renewed hope and dedication.
