Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS) Chas commemorated its 8th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage, academic achievements, and visionary leadership. The campus came alive with colours, music, and the spirit of unity as students and staff gathered to honour the school’s remarkable journey.
The event commenced with an invocation and a heartfelt prayer led by Director and Principal Dr. Manisha Tiwari. This was followed by the rendition of the School Song, setting a tone of pride and togetherness for the day’s proceedings.
Highlighting India’s rich traditions, the cultural segment featured a soulful ‘Chaiti’ performance — a tribute to folk traditions that reflect the roots of Indian identity. The programme also included the Thought of the Day, News Headlines, and a Pledge reaffirming commitment to values and responsibility.
A lively Nagpuri folk dance lit up the stage, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Jharkhand. The audience was further mesmerized by a melodic performance of Bengali folk music, celebrating the diverse cultural fabric of India.
A major highlight of the day was the announcement of DPS Chas students securing top honours in the national-level SilverZone GK Olympiad. Their gold medal victory brought pride and joy to the school community.
In a special message, Chief Mentor Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan lauded the school’s growth, saying, “DPS Chas is a temple of knowledge. Its foundation rests on values, culture, and excellence. Let this milestone remind us to keep aiming higher.”
Expressing gratitude and optimism, Director and Principal Dr. Manisha Tiwari remarked, “This day celebrates not just our journey, but the dreams we’ve turned into reality. Every student must feel a sense of belonging — this is not just a milestone, it’s a fresh beginning filled with renewed purpose.”
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, bringing the event to a close on a note of unity and national pride.
