Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan to Begin First Official Visit to India on April 8

New Delhi: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, will begin his first official visit to India tomorrow. The two-day visit will mark a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties between India and the UAE. The Crown Prince will be accompanied by several ministers, senior government officials, and a high-level business delegation.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a working lunch for the Crown Prince, followed by discussions with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

On the evening of April 8, the Crown Prince will travel to Mumbai, where he will engage in a business roundtable with prominent leaders from both nations. This meeting aims to enhance India-UAE economic and commercial collaboration, particularly in emerging sectors.

Dubai has played a vital role in India-UAE relations, with a significant portion of India’s 4.3 million-strong diaspora in the UAE residing in Dubai. The visit is expected to further bolster the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and strengthen multifaceted ties, particularly in the realms of business, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
