Gaya: The East Central Railway (ECR) held its first Permanent Negotiating Machinery (PNM) meeting of 2024 on Thursday and Friday at its headquarters. Chaired by General Manager Chhatrasal Singh, the meeting brought together officials from the East Central Railway Employees Union (ECRKU) to discuss key issues related to railway interests and employee welfare.
The meeting saw the participation of Principal Chief Personnel Officer B.K. Singh, along with Principal Heads of Departments and other senior railway officers. Discussions focused on several significant concerns raised by the union, including housing for employees stationed at remote locations, the availability of medicines in railway hospitals, cadre upgradation, and the enhancement of training centers.
In his address, General Manager Chhatrasal Singh emphasized the importance of employee welfare and affirmed the Railway Administration’s commitment to addressing these issues. He expressed appreciation for the union’s cooperative stance and expressed confidence that, with the continued dedication of railway employees, East Central Railway will achieve new milestones.
The GM assured that the suggestions made by the Employees Union would be taken seriously, with necessary and prompt actions planned. He reiterated his commitment to enhancing employee welfare, improving railway facilities, boosting revenue, and focusing on development projects. Singh also expressed optimism about the union’s involvement in the progress of East Central Railway.
The meeting was attended by DK Pandey, President of the East Central Railway Employees Union, General Secretary SNP Shrivastava, and other officials from the union’s headquarters and divisions, who shared their perspectives and suggestions.
