ED issues 5th summons to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in excise policy scam

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has served a fifth summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Delhi liquor policy scam.

The ED has called upon Chief Minister Kejriwal to appear before the investigative agency today. This follows a series of earlier summonses that he had failed to respond to.

Previously, Arvind Kejriwal had disregarded all four summonses issued by the ED in relation to the case. The fourth summons, dated last month on the 13th, had requested his presence on the 18th of January, which he did not comply with.

The ongoing probe revolves around the Delhi liquor policy, and the ED is actively pursuing the matter, seeking the Chief Minister’s cooperation in their investigation.
