Bokaro: A.S. Gangwar, Principal DPS Bokaro has been conferred with the ‘Best International Principal Award’ for the year 2020-21 by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF).
In recognition of the leadership qualities, path-breaking initiatives for the cause of education, and academic excellence of the students , the Academic Council of SOF has bestowed this honour on Gangwar. This award is all the more special this year as during the session 2020-21, the education sector has faced an unprecedented onslaught by the pandemic. As a leader, his role in motivating the team of teachers to stay focused on the education of the students with perseverance and dedication was highly appreciated all over the country.
SOF conducts the National Science Olympiad, Indian Economics Olympiad, National Computer Olympiad, International Mathematics Olympiad examinations in 42800 schools from over 1400 cities spread across 22 countries of the world conducted every year.
It is noteworthy that Gangwar is among the very few Principals from the Eastern zone to receive this award this year. Gangwar has also received several coveted recognitions for his service in education, including Sandipani Vishishth Gurujan Samman, Vidyapati Sikshak Samman, Progressive Principal Award, and International Principal Award (2019–20), and the list goes on.
Expressing gratitude, A. S. Gangwar thanked all the stakeholders and said, “It is indeed ennobling to be acknowledged as the Best International Principal. However, no success is complete without the support of a dedicated team of staff, enthusiastic students and supportive parents.”
“It is the collaborative awareness and commitment that has helped us to achieve what we are today. Every achievement is just another milestone that impels us to do better,” he added.
