Ashis Sinha I Bokaro: Aiming to promote Volleyball at the grassroots level in Jharkhand, Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Chas in Bokaro district is all set to hold a three-day workshop from 27 to 29 September at its campus.
W. G. Morgan’s first State-level Volleyball workshop will be organised in association with Jharkhand State Volleyball Association (JSVA) and Mongia Steel, informed Uma Shankar Singh, Principal cum Convener and Venue Director, and Jaydeep Sarkar, Secretary JSVA.
“This workshop is going to be conducted first time in Jharkhand which would provide basic and important sports skills along with ability of its participants and sports persons,” said Jaydeep.
“We are work for the ground-level development of Volleyball. Our aim is to promote the game through nurturing the huge pool of future champions in the most prospective and organised tangible sectors,” added Jaydeep.
The inaugural session of the workshop is scheduled to be graced by Dr Gunwant Sing Mongia, Chairman Mongia Steel as Chief Guest, while Tarsem Singh, President Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society, would be the Guest of honour.
Besides, Uma Shankar Singh, Jaydeep Sarkar, Dr. SN Rai, Gyan Singh, Rakesh Singh, Rajesh Kumar Singh, Hridayanand, including others, would be the resource persons of the workshop.
Physical education teachers and Coaches from around 50 schools across the Jharkhand will participate in the workshop.
