Government Launches ‘Udaan Yatri Cafe’ to Provide Affordable Food at Airports

New Delhi: In a significant move to provide relief to air travelers, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched the “Udaan Yatri Cafe” initiative, aimed at offering affordable food and essential items at airports. The initiative is designed to ensure that passengers have access to basic necessities such as food and water at reasonable rates.

The first “Udaan Yatri Cafe” has been inaugurated at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport as part of a pilot project. If successful, the initiative will be expanded to other airports across India, managed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

At the newly launched cafe, air passengers can access essential items like water bottles, tea, coffee, and snacks at affordable prices, providing much-needed relief to those traveling through the airport. The government hopes that this initiative will enhance the overall travel experience by offering a cost-effective solution for essential services.
