Dhanbad: Bodhisattwa Sanghapriya, founder and CEO of IG Drones, delivered an inspiring lecture on innovation and entrepreneurship at Penman Auditorium, on the second day of IIT (ISM)’s five-day special orientation program for the Class of 2024 batch.
Sanghapriya, a renowned TEDx speaker and a leader in technological innovation, shared his insights during a 45-minute talk. His diverse expertise, ranging from rural technology to rocket science, has positioned him as a key driver of technological disruption.
Addressing the new students, Sanghapriya encouraged them to focus on innovation rather than routine tasks. “From my first day in engineering college, I was drawn to extracurricular and unconventional pursuits. I urge you to innovate and solve societal problems,” he advised.
Sanghapriya also detailed the remarkable journey of IG Drones, which has impacted over 25 states and completed more than 250 projects with a notable 75% client retention rate. His company, known for leveraging AI-driven drone data analytics, stands as a cutting-edge force in the field.
Recognized as a “Serial Innovator,” Sanghapriya has been honored with the Chief Minister Award twice and the prestigious “Molodo Zvezda” (Youth Star) award by the Russian Federation for his contributions to space science. He also co-founded the ISROVSSUT student satellite team and was the founding secretary of the Government of Odisha Innovation Cell at VSSUT, Burla.
The session was attended by IIT (ISM) officials including Professor Sukumar Mishra, Deputy Director Professor Dheeraj Kumar, Dean of Corporate Communications Professor Rajni Singh, Dean of Infrastructure Professor AR Dixit, and Dean of Students Welfare Professor SK Gupta, alongside faculty members, officers, and students.
