JNS: India and Israel signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Industrial R&D Cooperation today, focusing on many critical technical areas. Aerospace, Electronics Instrumentation, Civil, Infrastructure and Engineering, Environment, Mining, Chemicals and Petrochemicals, and Agriculture are among them.
In New Delhi, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR, and the Directorate of Defence Research and Development, Ministry of Defence of Israel, inked a Multi-Sectoral Agreement.
Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology, stated that this agreement would usher in a new era in India-Israel cooperation in areas such as innovation, technology, and start-ups.
He stated that 2023 is critical for the country because India will hold the G20 chairmanship. He also noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of India and Israel’s diplomatic relations.
