Induction programme for new Junior Assistants concludes at IIT-ISM

Dhanbad: A three-day Induction Programme for 30 newly appointed Junior Assistants concluded on Thursday evening (June 13) with a certificate distribution ceremony. Professor MK Singh, Dean (Academic), served as the chief guest and presented certificates to the participants.

In his address, Professor Singh emphasized the dedication required to qualify for the position and encouraged the new appointees to work diligently for the institute’s growth.

He highlighted the importance of the skills learned during the training, expressing confidence that these skills would help the Junior Assistants perform their tasks efficiently and contribute to the institute’s progress.

Prabodh Pandey, Registrar of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and course coordinator, also addressed the trainees. He stressed the value of the training, noting that it would enhance their competence and help them execute both daily tasks and special assignments with increased efficiency.

Rajan Chaudhary, Deputy Registrar (Estt.) and Course Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Shri Prabodh Pandey for his guidance in planning and executing the programme.

He also thanked the trainers, including Faculty In-Charge, Deputy Registrars, and Assistant Registrars, for providing valuable insights during the sessions.

On the concluding day, various training sessions were conducted, including:

Government e-Marketplace and Project & Accounts by Kamesh Kanchan Katariar, Assistant Registrar (Project & Accounts); Student-related matters, student mess, fee structure, scholarships, insurance, etc., by MN Pandey, Deputy Registrar (Students Welfare); Hostel Management and student-related matters by Shivjee Pandey, Assistant Registrar (Students Welfare); House Allotment Rules and Labour Welfare by Rahul Kumar, Assistant Registrar (Estate & Infrastructure) and Overview of Academics in IIT (ISM) by RD Sharma, Deputy Registrar (Academics).

The programme aimed to equip the Junior Assistants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and support the institute’s mission, informed Dean, Corporate Communications of ISM.
