Israel: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that several of its air bases were targeted in a missile attack launched by Iran. Fortunately, military officials reported that the strikes did not result in significant damage, and the operational capacity of the Israeli Air Force (IAF) remains intact.
According to IDF statements, the missile strikes caused damage to office buildings and maintenance facilities at the bases, but were classified as “ineffective.” Importantly, no harm was done to fighter jets, drones, or other critical military assets, ensuring that essential infrastructure remained operational.
Following the attack, the IDF emphasized that the IAF continued its missions, which included significant strikes against Hezbollah in Beirut, support for ground operations in southern Lebanon, and targeted actions in Gaza.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the situation, asserting that Iran does not seek war but warned of a stronger response if Israel chooses to retaliate. Speaking at a joint press conference with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in Doha, he stated, “If Israel wants to react, we will have a stronger response; this is what the Islamic Republic is committed to.”
In a related development, Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for a terror attack in Tel Aviv that involved both stabbing and shooting. This tragic incident resulted in seven deaths and left several others injured, further escalating tensions in the region.
