Jharkhand’s Cultural Identity Strengthened by Folk Dance Events: Kumar Amit

Bokaro: The Neev Foundation hosted a vibrant Dandiya Mahotsav at Western Farm, Naya Mod, on Sunday evening, celebrating the spirit of unity through dance. The event was inaugurated by notable leaders including BJP’s Kumar Amit and Congress representatives Shweta Singh and Jawahar Mahatha.

Addressing the audience, Kumar Amit praised the Dandiya Mahotsav, highlighting its significance in honoring Jharkhand’s cultural heritage. He stated, “Organizing folk dances like Dandiya from Gujarat in Jharkhand enhances our state’s respect and strengthens national unity. If we promote our traditional dances like Jhumar, Chhau, and others on larger platforms across the country, it will not only elevate Jharkhand’s identity but also foster a sense of ‘One India, Best India’.”

Amit urged local communities to take the initiative to celebrate their rich cultural practices, asserting that respect for one’s own traditions will cultivate appreciation from others. He also suggested incorporating Hindi, Khortha, Nagpuri, and Bhojpuri songs into future Dandiya events in Bokaro.

The celebration featured performances by popular artists such as Swaggy Singh Rajput, Archana Goswami, and DJ Nitesh, who energized the crowd with their performances. The event drew thousands of attendees, including organizers Soni Sharma, Manish Sharma, and others, making it a memorable evening of cultural celebration.
