Ranchi: In a significant advancement for emergency care in Jharkhand, 17 professionals from Medica Hospital have successfully completed their Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. This accomplishment marks a key step in enhancing emergency medical response capabilities, particularly in critical situations such as heart attacks.
The intensive three-day BLS-ACLS training, which was conducted by Dr. Rohit Sengar, Head of the Emergency Department and Chief Instructor, covered comprehensive emergency procedures and was concluded with rigorous written, oral, and practical exams. Dr. Sengar highlighted that Medica Hospital is pioneering this initiative as the first facility in Jharkhand to offer American Heart Association-certified BLS/ACLS courses three times annually.
Medical Director Dr. Vijay Mishra praised the new providers, emphasizing that their certification will significantly improve the hospital’s ability to provide timely and effective life-saving interventions. “The benefits of basic life support will now extend to more individuals in critical need,” Dr. Mishra stated.
IT Head Suhail Kaiser, who also passed the certification, expressed the importance of the training for non-medical professionals. “Although I am not from a medical background, I believe that everyone should undertake this course,” Kaiser remarked, reflecting on his positive experience during the training.
The successful completion of the course was facilitated by key contributors including Dr. Basant, Brother Joseph, Brother Siju, Brother Saju, and Academic Coordinator Mausumi, whose efforts were instrumental in the event’s success.
