Bokaro: Jadhav Vijaya Narayan Rao assumed office as the new Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, promising a vigorous administration to propel the district forward. Jadhav officially took over the reins from outgoing DC Kuldeep Chaudhary on Tuesday.
Hailing from Pune, Maharashtra, Vijaya Jadhav, an IAS officer from the 2015 batch, brings a wealth of administrative experience to her new role. She has previously served as Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) in Giridih, Jharkhand, and held positions including Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) in Hazaribagh and East Singhbhum. Additionally, she has served as Deputy Commissioner, Additional Secretary in the Planning and Development Department in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Known for her strict approach, Jadhav has built a reputation for zero tolerance towards corruption throughout her career.
Jadhav assured the residents of Bokaro of a transformative period ahead. “Bokaro will undergo a remarkable transformation under my tenure. By expediting ongoing development projects, I aim to usher in a new era of growth, she said.
Meanwhile, the outgoing DC Kuldeep Chaudhary has been transferred to East Singhbhum (Chaibasa), marking the end of his tenure in Bokaro.
The State government conducted a major bureaucratic reshuffle on Monday, transferring 19 IAS officials. Initially, Jadhav was slated to be transferred as the DC of West Singhbhum, Chaibasa. However, moments later, the order was revoked, and she was reassigned as the DC of Bokaro.
