NUSRL Team Reaches Semi-Finals of FDI International Arbitration Moot, Heading to Berlin

Ranchi: A team of talented students from the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) has advanced to the semi-finals of the FDI International Arbitration Moot 2024 (South Asia Round). The team, consisting of Sarthak Kumar, Lisa Gupta, Suryansh Singh, Eylah Singh, and Abhinav Shukla, has earned a coveted spot to represent NUSRL at the international stage in Berlin.

By excelling in the regional rounds, the team secured a place among the top four and is now set to compete in the international round from November 1 to 4, 2024. Their performance has not only brought recognition to the university but has also elevated India’s standing in this prestigious global competition.

The students demonstrated exceptional legal acumen as they addressed complex issues such as third-party funding, cost protection, gradual clarification, and the power to draw adverse inferences during arbitration proceedings.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Prof. Ashok R. Patil expressed immense pride, saying, “Our students’ talent is now shining on the global stage. Their dedication and hard work have paid off, and I am confident they will continue to excel. We wish them the very best and hope they return victorious.”

Moot Court Coordinator and Assistant Professor Ms. Soni Bhola praised the team’s efforts, saying, “This success reflects the collective effort of our students and the supportive environment at NUSRL. Their rigorous research and collaborative spirit, combined with the guidance of our faculty, have made this achievement possible.”
