New Delhi: The 11-day ‘anusthan’ (special ritual) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently underway in New Delhi as part of preparations for the impending Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
In accordance with a report by India Today, Prime Minister Modi is strictly adhering to traditional customs during this spiritual journey, which include sleeping on the floor and consuming only coconut water, sources said.
Prime Minister Modi commenced the Pran Pratishtha ritual on January 12th and expressed his gratitude to all those privileged to witness this “historic” and “auspicious” event.
He stated that he sees himself as a symbolic representation of all Indians and a chosen instrument of God.
As per officials, Prime Minister Modi meticulously follows the scriptures and observes ‘Yam Niyam’ for eleven days. Those who adhere to ‘Yam Niyam’ practice a life of meditation and exercises involving yoga and incense. Several of these disciplines are already part of the Prime Minister’s daily routine.
These practices encompass a ‘satvik’ diet, meditation, and rising at a favorable hour before sunrise. Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi has opted for an eleven-day fast while observing severe austerities, all in alignment with the sacred principles outlined in the holy books.
The consecration process involves infusing a sense of divine awareness into the sacred object of a deity, and proper fasting in the days leading up to the consecration is prescribed in the scriptures.
