JNS: Today, Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja are being observed across the country with profound religious fervor and traditional joy.
Draped in vibrant attire, devotees, predominantly youth, congregated at various temples and puja pandals to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Numerous pandals adorned with exquisitely decorated idols of the Goddess were erected at various locations, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Saraswati Puja, a celebration dedicated to the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, and culture, stands as one of the foremost religious festivals in the Hindu community. Amidst great enthusiasm and religious zeal, the festival was embraced nationwide on Sunday.
The Puja holds significance as it falls on the fifth day of the bright fortnight of the month of Magh, commemorating the birth of Goddess Saraswati, also known as ‘Vasant Panchami.’
As Saraswati is considered as the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge, Hindu devotees, particularly students, observed the Puja with fervor in educational institutions and temples alike.
President Droupadi Murmu extended her heartfelt greetings to the nation on this auspicious occasion. Through a social media post, President Murmu expressed her wishes for the festival to bring joy and prosperity to the lives of all Indians. She fervently prayed to Goddess Saraswati to bestow learning and knowledge upon everyone.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his warm wishes to the people of India on the occasion of Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja, underlining the significance of this auspicious day.
