Six DPS Bokaro students qualify for Nationals in VVM

JNSI Bokaro: Exhibiting exceptional performance, 6 students from DPS Bokaro qualified  for the Nationals in the second level of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan – a national programme for educating and popularizing science. These students were selected on the basis of their performances in the online test which was held on 13 February 2022.

Kunal Anand (VII), Kumar Anmol (VIII) and Aryan Kumar (IX) secured State Rank 1; will receive a cash prize of Rs. 5000 along with a certificate and a memento. Nirwan (VII), Yasharth Gautam (VIII) and Aarushi Pandeya (XI) secured State Rank 2 and they will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 3000 along with a certificate and a memento. Ashutosh Agarwal (XI) bagged State Rank 3 and he will receive a cash prize of Rs. 2000 along with a certificate and a memento. The first and second rank holders in the State have made their way to the Nationals.

It is noteworthy that out of 12 students selected from all over Jharkhand six students, i.e, fifty percent, are from DPS Bokaro.

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is a National program jointly organised by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution under the Ministry of Education for educating and popularizing science among the school students of classes VI to XI. The main objective of this programme is to identify keen knowledge seekers in science and nurture them for the highest level of science education.

A.S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro expressed his happiness over the achievement of the students and congratulated them.  He also extended his best wishes for the Nationals to be held later this year.
