Gaya: Swasthmev inaugurated India’s first Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Centre, Rahat Kendra, in Ranapur, Chakand, Gaya, on Sunday. The center aims to provide critical first aid during the “golden hour” following accidents, particularly on National Highways, improving survival rates.
The inauguration was attended by Makhdumpur MLA Satish Kumar Das, Syed Mehndi Imam, Zakir Imam, and other key figures. MLA Das highlighted the center’s focus on trauma care, life support, diagnostics, and pharmacy services, all managed by trained paramedics and physicians.
Swasthmev’s goal is to make emergency aid as accessible as ordering food or booking a taxi. The center will use telemedicine for e-consultation and patient monitoring, ensuring quick hospital admission and real-time health tracking. This initiative aims to expand across the country, especially in high-traffic areas, reducing deaths caused by delayed treatment.
The project was made possible by Swasthmev’s victory in the MSME Hackathon and subsequent incubation at IIM Bodh Gaya.
