TMC Extends Support to AAP for Delhi Assembly Elections

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal confirmed on Wednesday that Mamata Banerjee, the West Bengal Chief Minister and head of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), has pledged her party’s support to AAP for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Kejriwal, who is seeking a third consecutive term in office, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mamata Banerjee through a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “TMC has announced support to AAP in Delhi elections. I am personally grateful to Mamata Didi. Thank you, Didi, for your constant support and blessings during both our good and challenging times.”

The Delhi Assembly elections, set for February 5, 2025, will feature a three-way contest between AAP, the Congress, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The Election Commission of India (ECI) has confirmed that the results will be declared on February 8, 2025. Over 1.55 crore voters across the capital are expected to participate in the polls.

The term of the current Delhi Assembly is due to expire on February 23, 2025.
