Bokaro: In a bid to empower educators and foster a positive start to the new academic year, UMMEED Counselling and Consulting Services, in collaboration with DPS Chas Bokaro, organized a one-day workshop on “Managing Anger Issues in Adolescents” on Saturday. The workshop, aimed at enhancing the teaching-learning experience, focused on equipping teachers with effective strategies to address emotional challenges among students.
The session was led by renowned psychologist Salony Priya, Founder and Director of UMMEED, alongside Ms. Gunjan, an Educational Coach and key member of the UMMEED team.
The workshop explored the emotional turbulence often faced by adolescents and provided teachers with practical tools to help manage anger, while also promoting emotional resilience among students.
Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, Chief Mentor of the event, lauded the initiative, emphasizing the critical role of teachers as emotional anchors for students. “Understanding the ‘why’ behind anger is the first step in healing and guiding,” she said.
Dr. Manisha Tiwari, Principal and Director of DPS Chas, thanked the facilitators and stressed the importance of the workshop. “This is not just about managing anger but about nurturing a generation that can express emotions in a constructive and fearless way,” she stated.
The workshop concluded with an engaging discussion, where teachers reflected on the session’s insights and left with a renewed commitment to not only impart knowledge but also to empower students with emotional strength and life skills.
