XLRI Concludes First Spirituality Conclave, Emphasizing Ethical Leadership and Positive Impact

Jamshedpur: XLRI concluded its inaugural Spirituality Conclave today, hosted by the Centre for Spirituality in collaboration with international partners. Themed “Integrating Spirituality into Business: Drawing Wisdom from India’s Diverse Traditions,” the conclave brought together scholars, corporate leaders, and thought leaders to explore spirituality’s role in business ethics and leadership.

The event kicked off with a prayer and lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by addresses from notable speakers including Aarti Sharma, Senior Director at Coca-Cola. Sharma highlighted the importance of redefining success in business, emphasizing that true leadership requires authenticity, empathy, and mindfulness to foster meaningful, long-term impacts in organizations and communities.

Panel discussions delved into various spiritual perspectives, addressing leadership, inclusivity, and human flourishing. Experts from diverse traditions, including Hindu, Buddhist, and Christian, shared insights on how spirituality can guide ethical decision-making and enhance workplace dynamics.

The conclave concluded with a valedictory session, where certificates were awarded to participants, and Fr. Kuruvilla Pandikattu, SJ, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success in showcasing spirituality’s interdisciplinary relevance in shaping effective and ethical managers.

The event reaffirmed the importance of integrating spiritual wisdom into business, urging future leaders to create ethical, sustainable, and profitable organizations.
